From June 2022 through October 2025 the County Broadband Committee served as an advisory committee for the county-wide broadband program FiberNet. The work of this committee and department has included extensive work and discussions on broadband access you can find on this page and in the agenda packet link here.
In its second phase, the Broadband Advisory Committee will focus on supporting and accelerating broadband adoption, digital skill building, and broadband education throughout Door County, working in direct collaboration with local municipalities, local non-for-profits, and regional and state partners. The Committee's activities will continue to emphasize a decentralized approach, empowering local communities and stakeholders to address unique broadband needs and opportunities.
The Committee will act as an advisory and coordinating body, providing guidance and recommendations to the Broadband Coordinator, County Administrator, and the County Board on topics including but not limited to: Broadband Adoption, Digital Skill-Building, Broadband Education, Collaboration with Local Municipalities, and Community Engagement and Feedback.
