Park Reservations, Fees & Information
Park Reservations
All Reservations are taken on a first-come or first-served basis and are NONREFUNDABLE. All rates subject to change. No event will be allowed unless a lease or rental agreement has been signed and placed on file with Door County Facilities & Parks Department. A Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 may be required, with the County as the additional insured for all public and private events.

- Contact the office at 920-746-9959 (Parks Receptionist) or by email dcparks@co.door.wi.gov for date availability.
- Submit by mail or in person:
- The signed and dated park reservation application and rental agreement.
- The rental fee
- The refundable security/cleaning deposit

John Miles County Park Horse Arena
The Horse Arena is open for use by anyone that has an annual Hold Harless Agreement on record at the Facilities and Parks office. Please mail in a signed copy of the agreement or stop in at the office and fill one out.
Hunting in County Parks
Gun and/or Bow hunting is permitted in certain county parks from November 15th thru April 1st during legal DNR hunting seasons. A permit is required from the Facilities and Parks Department. To apply for a hunting permit submit by mail or in person both the Hunting Application and Hunting Hold Harmless agreement. Hunting applications will not be accepted by email. Permits are issued on first come first served basis.
HUNTING APPLICATIONS for 2025-2026 Season will be accepted after September 5, 2025. Permits will not be issued until October 6, 2025. Applicants who pass background check will be awarded park hunting privileges based on order applications are received. No further applications will be accepted after Friday, December 5, 2025. Be sure to take note of these dates because number of permits issued are limited.
Tips for Hikers in Door County Parks During Hunting Season
- Wear blaze orange or bright colors! (This goes for your pets too!)
- Stay on trails.
- Keep pets on leash!
- Don't wear white or brown as it resembles the colors of a white-tailed deer.
- Make some noise! Talk loudly or whistle so hunters know you're there.
- Remember, deer hunting season in County Parks spans form November 15th until Jan 31
WINTER DROP OFF DATE:
Drop off date and time for winter storage will be scheduled between October 6th and November 2nd by calling (920) 493-7133 or (920) 495-7134
SPRING 2026 REMOVAL DATES:
April 9 –10 (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
April 11 (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
April 23-24 (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
All storage items will be placed OUTSIDE on the midway on April 24th and must be picked up no later than April 26th any items remaining will be ticketed for illegal parking.
Fees (price includes all applicable taxes)
Vehicle, Boat, Camper, & Motor Home…...$18/linear foot - indoor $12/linear foot – (outdoor)
Motorcycle, ATV, & Lawnmower………...$100/season
Single Trailer Personal Watercraft………...$105/season
Double Trailer Personal Watercraft……….$150/season

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- There is no access to your stored item from the time it is put into storage until spring removal.
- Door County shall not be responsible for any damage or injury that may happen to the renter or his property from any cause whatsoever. For protection of your property while in storage, we suggest you contact your insurance agent.
- Storage at John Miles County Park (fairgrounds) is handled on a first-come, first-served basis; fees are collected when items are brought in.
- All boats motors must have 6”floor clearance to be accepted.
- Fee is by length of unit and trailer, i.e. motor to hitch or bumper to bumper.
