If the parties to a divorce have any minor children, they must attend an approved educational program on the effects of divorce on children. No divorce judgment will be granted unless satisfactory proof of completion is provided to the court.
A parent is not required to attend a program in Door County. Every county in Wisconsin, and most states, offer similar programs. Online options are as follows:

If you find another class that you would prefer to take, please call the Family Court Commissioner's office at 920-746-5616 prior to taking the course to be sure the class will be approved.
Parents who attended a program for a prior divorce case, must still attend because the issues for each child and set of parents varies.
