TRAIL CONDITION GRADING SYSTEM:
POOR* Minimal base; many bare spots and surface flaws visible. Very little or no grooming taking place. Warm temperatures will cause immediate closure.
FAIR* 3 to 6 inch base; some bare spots and surface flaws. Grooming is being done in moderation. Warm temperatures and/or poor snow consistency will reduce conditions rapidly.
GOOD* 5 to 8 inch base; majority of trails are filled and only minor flaws remaining. Grooming is being done. Poor snow consistency and/or heavy traffic will cause heavier moguling and snow flaws.
EXCELLENT* 7 to 10+ inch base; all trails are filled and smooth. Consistent grooming is being done. Base is solid due to good snow consistency. Trails hold up very well during heavy traffic.
Above conditions DO NOT take into account blowing/drifting snow, snow storms and/or excessive snowmobile traffic that occur during or immediately following scheduled grooming operations.
