Medical

Door County uses a self-funded health plan. Door County assumes all the financial risk and pays for medical claims out of packet. Door County uses Health Payment Systems (HPS) for all in-network services. Auxiant is Door County's Third Party Administrator (TPA) for our health plan.
  • Door County pays 85% of medical insurance premiums. Employees pay 15% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees.
  • Premiums are pro-rated for eligible part-time employees.
  • Door County also offers a wellness program discount. If employees participate and complete the wellness program, then employees will get a 6% deduction on their medical premiums for the following year.
