Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS)
- Door County employees participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System. For 2026, 14.4% of your gross salary is contributed. Door County pays the employer portion of 7.2%. Employees pay their portion through a payroll deduction of 7.2%.
- Door County Sheriff's Office deputies also participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System. For 2026, 21.9% of your gross salary is contributed. Door County pays the employer portion of 14.7%. Employees pay their portion through a payroll deduction of 7.2%.
Wisconsin Deferred Compensation (WDC)
- Door County employees also have the option to participate in the Wisconsin Deferred Compensation Program. The Wisconsin Deferred Compensation Program is an optional, supplemental 457(b) retirement savings plan.
Nationwide Retirement Plan
- Door County employees also have the option to participate in the Nationwide Retirement Plan. The Nationwide Retirement Program is an optional, supplemental 457(b) retirement savings plan.
