HORSESHOE BAY CAVE TOURS at Frank E. Murphy Park

Located in the open field across from 7119 Bay Shore Drive in the Town of Egg Harbor, County Highway G

🧗‍♂️ Tour Details

Groups of 10 will be led by a Lead Guide, with a Trailing Guide ensuring safety at the rear. Due to the cave's single, narrow entrance, participants must move in single file and cannot pass one another.

• Duration: ~45 minutes (Please arrive 10 minutes early to your scheduled time slot)
• Distance: ~400 feet
• Environment: Cold (~55°F), wet, muddy, rocky, and pitch-black
• Movement: All crawling on hands and knees in narrow, low-ceiling spaces (3–4 feet high)
• Age Requirement: Minimum age is 6 years

👷‍♀️ Gear Provided

• Helmet with mounted light
• Knee pads
• Gloves
• Rubber boots

🚫 Important Restrictions

• Not suitable for: Individuals who are claustrophobic, have limited mobility, or are prone to anxiety in tight spaces
• Medical Concerns: Consult your physician before participating if you have any health conditions
• Waiver: All participants must sign a liability waiver

• Clothing & Accessories:

  • No loose hair, clothing, or jewelry
  • Backpacks and large items are not permitted (carry only what fits in your back pocket)
• Photography: Allowed, but you must secure your equipment
• Post-Tour: Bring a full change of clothes—you will get wet, cold, and muddy

• No running water on site
• A portable restroom is available
