The Door County Parks Department and Land Use Services Departments are in the process of updating a Parks and Open Space Plan in compliance with Wisconsin DNR requirements. Having a Parks and Open Space plan enables municipalities to apply for both federal and state grant funding. An open house and Virtual open house meetings, described below, have been scheduled in order to present the draft plan and gather input.
The draft plan may be viewed by clicking on the link below or viewed at the Parks Department during regular business hours (7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, Friday 7:00 a.m.- 11:00). Comments regarding the plan are due by March 13th and may be submitted at any time by e-mail to dcparks@co.door.wi.gov , or by mail to Door County Parks Department, 421 Nebraska Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
